Augmented Reality poster
This was an Augmented Reality poster created as a promotion for Diginate. When you ‘scan’ the poster with the Aurasma app it starts an animation, and, when you touch the screen, it will take you to www.diginate.com, where you can initiate a sticker and label printing process. The layered design of different coloured triangles was created in Adobe Illustrator and then animated in After Effects. These files were brought into Aurasma Studio and the ‘aura’ was created. The geometrically abstracted animation was inspired by London at night; all the lights around the city blinking, bleeding into each other and fading in the dark. The poster was featured in the April 2013 issue of Computer Arts magazine. Operations editor Julia Sagar said: “The striking chaos of the poster turns into something quite charming once the app reveals – via lights that flicker and fade – a further layer of modern magic. Impressive.”
